To Puma, Urban, New York and Hip Hop culture are one in the same. Referring back to his original admiration with graffiti, Puma became captivated by the art of tattooing and body art expression. Exposure to all forms of art from music, to expressive art, to the stage, Puma was able to find his niche amongst an ocean of individuals. However, it was that same city life that introduced Puma to a world of individual creativity. He was naturally talented, with influences and inspiration from some of the greats in Hip Hop and Black Popular culture, a tattoo artist christened young Paul to Puma.Īs much as he love the Hip Hop culture, making people laugh and providing ways for people to better themselves has always been his escape from the street life New York City seemed to only offer in the early 1990s. ![]() The Bronx created Hip Hop and Puma created his own understanding of Hip Hop culture through art forms known as graffiti.
